Web Designer Resume

Web design is a very competitive industry and a range of technical and design skills have become the standard requirement. It is therefore necessary to fully outline all your skills and training that covers your design, software and programming skills. The longer your list of skills in these areas, the much greater the chance of your resume being short listed. Do some research and find out the type of knowledge required for the positions you are interested in. Some further study or the learning of new software or skills maybe required for you to have that competitive edge. Previous experience proving your skills is often essential so take the opportunity to showcase your work.

If you are more of a designer with a limited understanding of the technical aspect, but would like to venture into web design, be prepared to be up against other designers who have a broader understanding of the web. You may need to study up on at least some of the basics such as HTML and the use of popular web design software such as Dreamweaver.
