Purchasing Manager

Responsible for the overall purchasing operations. Supervises every personnel in the purchasing department. Manages work delegation, coaching, problem resolution, performance evaluation, corrective action, motivation, and commendation. Oversees and ensures that every purchasing transaction in all organizational unit complies with the existing purchasing rules and policies of the company and the government. Participates in the formulation, execution, and observance of the company's purchasing policies and goals, both short-term and long-term.

Specific Tasks:

  • Leads in the planning, developing, recommending, negotiating, and administering of detailed proposals and contracts.
  • Responsible for the approval of all huge dollar acquisitions in accordance to existing policies.
  • Participates in the auditing procedures in the company.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of computer software used in purchasing.
