Purchasing Agent

Provides assistance in the procurement of materials, equipment, supplies, and services as required by various business units. Coordinates with vendors in acquiring items and in determining availability, price, and delivery time of items. Places bid requests or purchase orders to acquire materials. Must have at least two years of related experience.

Specific Tasks:

  • Checks that purchasing is within the mandated budget.
  • Ensures that all transactions like purchases, deliveries, costs, inventories, and others are properly documented in manual or in a computer.
  • Carefully scrutinizes materials for superior quality.
  • Responsible for the return or replacement of low-quality or defective goods, should there be any.
