Cook

Performs all tasks involved in preparation, cooking, and serving of meals for health centres, nursing home, commercial centers, and business establishments. Knowledgeable in different cooking equipment and techniques. Knowledgeable in food arrangement for a more attractive presentation of food. Possesses the skill in selecting good quality ingredients based on freshness. Understands the use of different ingredients like meats, seafoods, fruits, and vegetable to come up with an appropriate food.

Specific Tasks:

  • Assumes planning and providing hot and cold foods for as many people as required.
  • Creates menus and recipes and prepares food to serve for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Plans for the appetizers, desserts, beverages, and in-between snacks.
