Database Administrator

In charge of the overall planning, development, and maintenance of an organization's database. Among the major tasks include reviewing current database and planning the revision. Other primary responsibilities encompass ensuring efficiency in functions of storage, backup, archive, and data recovery procedures. Performs capacity planning and works closely with database programmers, web developers, and other IT managers.

Specific Tasks:

Ensures high level of security is maintained at all times.
Develops data models and presents proper usage and procedures.
Develops policies, guidelines, and standards as basis of all operations.
Performs modifications on current systems and existing databases.
Reviews and evaluates database modifications and makes the necessary recommendations
