Health and Accident Underwriter

Chiefly concerned with determining if an insurance coverage should be given to an individual who seeks financial aid against health conditions or accidents. This is done by checking the risks that the client is exposed to and to see if the client is able to meet the insurance company’'s standards. These factors will determine whether or not the application for insurance will be granted or turned down.

Specific Tasks:

Reviews and evaluates information relating to medical history, physical condition, and other pertinent data to underwrite individual health and accident policies
Decides on whether to approve or deny coverage based on risk
