Mechanical Engineer

Performs engineering work directed to researching, drafting, and developing machines, mechanical tools, and manufacturing equipment or engines. Discusses problems and formulates solutions with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers. Designs and implements economical equipment improvement for reliability and safety. Works with other mechanical engineers on the use of robotics, engines, and other instruments to improve production processes. Requires mechanical engineering degree, license, and relevant two-year experience.

Specific Tasks:

Develops, tests, and evaluates designs.
Provides specific details and designs for every prototype.
Recommends improvements based on the results of prototype tests.
Installs and runs newly developed machinery.
Maintains and repairs mechanical tools optimum performance.
