Civil Engineer

Produces engineering plans and designs. Oversees building, maintenance, or modification of structures and facilities like roads, railroads, bridges, airports, water systems, sewerage, among others. Uses computer and other technologies to demonstrate engineering plans and specifications. Determines the estimated work schedule and production cost. Studies and analyzes the project requirement and manpower availability. Requires a degree of four years with relevant experience of at least two years.

Specific Tasks:

Examines survey reports, drawings, maps, blueprints, aerial photos, and other geologic or topographical data for the study of projects.
Checks project sites to see progress and to ensure that the projects meet design requirements and sanitation and security standards.
Studies patterns of traffic or conditions of the environment to see engineering difficulties and measure its potential impact on projects.
